Farm Report : MacLane Carries 1-Hitter Into 8th

Here's a rundown of this weekends minor league action courtesy of the fantastic Toby's Mets Minor League Report…
Norfolk Tides (AAA)
Saturday
month firing off seven and a third solid innings with six strikeouts. He allowed just one run on three hits and
three walks. He carried a one hitter into the

St Lucie Mets (A+)
Saturday
Caleb Stewart won this game with a
three run HR in the bottom of the ninth for St. Lucie. Stewart
also doubled and scored twice in a 2-5 night.
Carp, in addition to starting the ninth inning rally doubled and drove
home a run.
Sal Aguilar turned in a nice start,
allowing two runs in seven innings. He struck
out two and walked two.
Carlos Muniz blew the save in the ninth
by giving up a run, but Stewart’s blast made him a winner.
Sunday
Jose Coronado’s
three-run, eighth-inning single proved to be the margin, as St. Lucie battled
back from a big deficit and shaky starting pitching to beat
three-run single, you weren’t alone.
Coronado himself scored the third run on the play on a throwing error on
Vero’s catcher. This, my friends, is
minor league baseball.)
Carlos Muniz
pitched the final out of the game to pick up his 27th save of the season.
Hagerstown Suns (A-)
Saturday
Deolis Guerra (5-7) allowed just one run in his five innings on two hits. He walked three and struck out three,
lowering his ERA to 2.35.
Centerfielder
Sean Henry, who was converted from
SS this year, and promoted this week from
was 2-3 with two doubles.
Sunday
Jeramy Simmons (1-2) was sharp through seven innings, allowing
just two runs and four hits, but ran out of gas in the eighth, allowing a pair
of singles and then a double, which scored a run, to start off the inning.
Ryan Meyers couldn’t put out the fire,
giving up a single and two more runs before finally quelling the uprising.
Kevin Tomasiewicz slammed the door and
picked up his 15th save.

Here's a rundown of yesterday's minor league action, by way of the fantastic Toby's Mets Minor League Report…
AAA
Eldridge, recently promoted from AA Binghamton was 2-4.
Sandy
Martinez had a solo HR in a 2-5 night.
AA
one a double.
Wilson Batista was 1-3 with a solo HR.
Matt
Lindstrom gave up a run in the bottom of the ninth snapping the B-Mets 12 game winning
streak.
A+
a double and a HR. He scored two runs
and drove home three.
Alhaji Turay was
3-4 with a bomb and a 2 RBI.
Blake Eager earned the win giving up
two runs in six innings.
A-

of the fifth.
Zac Clements, the former catcher turned
knuckballer allowed two runs on four hits in 5.1 IP with 3 walks.
Brandon
Nall picked up his third win with 2.2 innings of scoreless relief.
Kevin Tomasiewicz was responsible for the
save.
New York Penn League (Brooklyn Cyclones)
Note : The Cyclones have won 19 of their last 23 games.
with a triple and two runs scored.
Daniel Cummins (.221/.293/.279) drove
home three runs with a pair of doubles.
Joe Holden (.231/.255/.88) homered
again, his fifth of the year.

AAA
- Lastings Milledge was 2-5 at the top of
the order while Sandy Martinez was
2-3 with a solo HR and 2 RBI. Michael Tucker added a solo
HR of his own.
AA
- Carlos Gomez extended his hit streak to 10 games with a 2-4
night as well. Gomez is now hitting
.392/.418/.549 in his 14 July games. He
hasn’t drawn a single walk all month
A+
- Mike Carp raised his season line to
.277/.382/.406 with a 3-5 night that included a double. - Corey Coles was 4-5 with a double while
Jose Coronado was 2-5 from the top of the order as well. Caleb
Stewart doubled, tripled and drove home three runs in a 3-4 night.
