Our beloved Mr. Met was viciously attacked recently by a rowdy drunken fan, reports John Doyle at The New York Post.
The attack occured during last Saturday come-from-behind win against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The belligerent fan savagely tossed the baseball headed mascot according to police. He also knocked down children in the process, swung at a security guard and spit in his face.
The loser is question is Christian Hansen, 32 of Gowanus, Brooklyn. He has been charged with criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and harassment. He was arraigned Sunday and released without bail.
