Tragedy was averted after a nasty spill decapitated Mr.Redlegs yesterday in Cincinnati. Mr. Redlegs was able to pop his head back on and continue to be what most people feel is the only entertainment at the Great American Ballpark since it’s inception.

Larry Brown Sports provides an important update on “Porn Staches” in Major League Baseball. Currently several players (and managers, hello Willie Randolph!) are rocking the stache.

Most of the Milwaukee Brewers including Jason Kendall, Carlos Villanueva, Ryan Braun and Prince Fielder, are stached up as well, perhaps an ode to their mascot, Bernie.

Eric Byrnes wore his stache in the midst of a 14-game hitting streak which ended on Sunday. He insists the stache will go on.

“It’ll be back; you guys have not seen the last of the ’stache,” he said. ‘I’m going with the ’stache all year. I will have a 1970s porn ’stache the entire year.”
