Big Hurt Cut

According to ESPN.com, the Blue Jays have released 1B/DH Frank Thomas. 

Earlier this week, Thomas complained about a lack of ABs, claiming that they were benching him so they would not have to pick up his option for next year which would have kicked in if he reached 376 ABs. 

Call me nuts, but a power hitting 1B…just some food for thought.

    The Blue Jays Frank Thomas have agreed to a two-year, $18 million deal, reports the Associated Press. 

    The deal includes a $10 million option for 2009.
