If you haven’t heard, the White Sox Mark Buehrle threw a perfect game this afternoon against the Tampa Bay Rays. The most interesting part, it was caught by formet Met Ramon Castro.
Castro was dealt away from the Mets in exchange for RHP Lance Broadway.
Good for Castro. He was criticized heavily at times with the Mets over his gamecalling and lack of mobility behind the plate, but this should shut the critics up for now.
I’m really starting to buy into the fact that the Mets are cursed and will never throw a no hitter, let alone a perfect game. My Philosophy: Once players leave the Mets the curse is lifted and they bring luck to their new team.
