According to Baseball America, Mets minor leaguers Wilmer Flores and Jenrry Mejia will represent the “World” team in the Futures Games, which will be played on July 12 in St. Louis. The Futures Game is a Minor League All-Star-type game that pits baseballs best prospects against eachother in a “USA vs. The World” format.
SS Flores is hitting .273 with 2 homeruns, 18 RBI, a .316 OBP and a .673 OPS. He is only 17.
RHP Mejia is 4-4 with a 2.50 ERA in 72 innings with 68 strikeouts and 25 walks.
