The Yankees got their man. Yeah, we chuckled over all the Yankee fans calling WFAN crying and chirping about CC Sabathia not wanting to be a Yankee. Then we giggled a little more when word came out that Yankee GM Brian Cashman left the winter meetings to go to San Francisco to beg CC and his wife Amber to come to NY. But they got their man.
The man who is seemingly everywhere, NY Post’s Joel Sherman, is reporting that the Yankees have signed CC Sabathia:
CC Sabathia is not going to play on the West Coast. He is not going to play in the National League. CC Sabathia is going to be a Yankee, The Post has learned exclusively…. He agreed to the largest pitching contract in major league history, six years and at least $140 million.

Update 10:00 am – The NY Daily News is reporting that the Sabathia deal is for 7 years $160 million.
