Yankees Trade for 1B/OF Swisher

ESPN’s Jerry Crasnick is reporting that the Yankees have acquired 1B/OF Nick Swisher from the Chicago White Sox, in exchange for minor league pitcher Jeff Marquez.

SI.com’s Jon Heyman, on with Mike Francessa, also said that IF Wilson Betemit could be involved in the package heading to the White Sox.

Swisher never fit in with the White Sox, posting a .219 average with 24 homers in 2008.

I know Swisher was bad last year, but the best the Sox could do was Jeff Marquez and Wilson Betemit? Steal for Cashman and Co.
