Mets.com is reporting that P John Maine is feeling “great” after surgery to remove a bone spur in his right shoulder. Maine will begin a throwing program in December and should be ready to go by Spring Training. To put to into perspective how big the bone spur was, doctors said ” It was the biggest one they’d ever seen”.

Amazing how Maine actually pitched with that. A healthy Maine coupled with Santana and Pelfrey bodes well for the rotation in 2009. I say forget KRod, and sign Sabathia!
