At Deadspin , AJ Daulerio describes a night he spent out with ESPN anchor Linda Cohn, who is known to be an avid Mets fan.

In his post, he discusses many things about Cohn, and immediately mentions how she started talking about the Mets:

She’s one of those “my Mets”-types and she gets all fired up about it. Things are good, now, obviously for the Mets. She blabbed about Carlos Delgado and I briefly considered shoving her into traffic. I did not.

Cohn also told Daulerio that she thinks it will be good for the team that Billy Wagner is out for the season.

Huh? Granted Billy blew some saves, but I’d put him in our bullpen any day.  Maybe you think it will force our  bullpen to develop but still, that is quite the statement there Ms. Cohn.

Cohn also noted how Baseball Tonight is the most difficult show to anchor because everything is on the fly.  She described being on the ESPN set for the MLB trade deadline as, "frickin’ exciting."

Cohn recently released a book titled, "Cohn-Head: A No-Holds-Barred Account of Breaking Into the Boys’ Club" which is a personal memoir detailing her rise in sports journalism, a field with largely male contributors.
