Great post, Gary. I've tried to keep tabs on the guys the Mets sent the Twins and it's highly interesting to see what has become of them.

Guerra seems like he's still doing well.

Gomez is having a kind of 2004/2005 Reyes season, and I have a feeling the Twins will have to gut out a year or two of this before Gomez makes more progress with getting on base more frequently. This could be foreseen.

Mulvey is surprising, especially considering nearly everybody had Mulvey pegged as joining the Mets rotation mid-season 2008 before he was traded. I guess the Twins rotation, even without Santana, is not better, but deeper. The Twins also called up Kevin Slowey already this year, so Mulvey has had competition in Triple-A to say the least. Yet Mulvey has also put up similar stats in Triple-A there as he did in New Orleans in 2007. He'll get there eventually.

Humber has been the real disappointment for the Twins. People viewed Humber as better than Pelfrey last year, and then seems to have been proven not the case. I'm kinda surprised because Humber didn't have an outstanding year but he was OK in Triple-A last season. This year he's doing very poorly in their Triple-A affiliate and is starting to look like a complete bust. Factor in all the competition he has in the Minnesota system, and I kind of doubt he'll ever make it, at least as long as he's with the Twins.

Again, very interesting read, Gary.

We all knew we won this trade. We all knew Humber blew, and Gomez is a free swinger.

Guerra also has a nice ceiling, but all he has is a changeup, cant be successful with just the fastball/change combo.
