The Mets play host to the Rockies in game one of their three game set tonight at Shea. Gametime is slated for 7:10 EST and can be seen on the CW11. Oliver Perez will toe the rubber for the Mets vs Aaron Cook of the Rockies.
Keys to the Game:
- Ride the Hot Bats: Fernando Tatis and Endy Chavez are in the lineup again, and these guys are on fire right now. Tatis went 3-4 yesterday with two doubles, a homer, and 4 rbi. Chavez is hitting close to .360 in July. Sure, they won’t keep it up but enjoy it while it lasts.
- Three Straight for Ollie?: Could it be that Oliver Perez is actually turning it around for good? He has been great of late, with wins over the Yankees and Phillies. Real Ollie would be appreciated tonight.
