Carlos Delgado, Pedro Martinez, Orlando Hernandez, Moises Alou, etc. all have just one year left on their contract. As long as Omar doesn't foolishly resign any of them, we could be in a good place in 2009. As far as Castillo, I just hope to God he can be traded because I already can't stand him at all. It would be awfully sad to either give up on 08 or to NOT become sellers and hurt ourselves in the future. How the hell did we get to this dark place? Books, no doubt, will be written on the subject. Still, 4.5 out is a decent place to be right now - that's the mixed blessing that is illustrated here. Gee, this is a brutal yet honest assessment.
