Look at the rest of the hitters drafted in front of him. 1. OF Justin Upton 2. 3B Alex Gordon 3. C Jeffrey Clement 4. 3B Ryan Zimmerman 5. 3B Ryan Braun 7. SS Troy Tulowitzki 10. OF Cameron Maybin 11. OF Andrew McCutchen There are some stars on that list who were rushed to the bigs and didn't get to develop for 2 years in the minors like Bruce did. Even though Upton and Braun tear the cover off the ball, I can't help but think if they had another year like Bruce did before they came up. Bruce is a special talent, but I'll hold off praise until a month in the bigs. We'll see if he's still hitting .600 then... What I don’t get about the Bruce hype is why people are so surprised.
