I don't necessarily think it was time to give Figgy the ax, he could probably do really well in a fifth starter role. If we had been this quick to DFA other starters Ollie would have been incredible long gone. I agree with CVER. OK, last night wasn't pretty, but hey, hasn't Ollie Perez and John Maine had outings like that? Even if for some reason, it was necessary to move him to the bullpen, that would have worked. If he is gonna end up in another organization, I will be upset, as it is another bad move. Sosa, while having some bright moments, probably had to go.
