The Brewers have designated RP Derrick Turnbow for assignment. Once a prominent closer with a mean high 90s fastball, Turnbow was sporting a 15.63 ERA this year, most notably allowing 7 runs in 2/3 of an inning on Wednesday night.
Many might say to take a flier on this guy, but his fastball was barely hitting 90 the other night, and the mid 90’s heat was what made him so good for those few years.
