After an elaborate fan survey, SI.com has released the results from the rankings of MLB’s 30 stadiums. The stadiums were based on: affordability, food, team quality, tradition, atmosphere, fan IQ, hospitality, promotions, traffic and neighborhood.
Progressive Field, home of the Indians, came in first place with Miller Park of the Brewers in second.
As expected, Shea was near the bottom coming in 28th overall with only RFK stadium and Dolphin stadium behind. Notably, the Mets came in 5th in fan IQ, but 24th in atmosphere.
Well, I agree that we should be near the top in fan IQ, but those results are a bit sketchy because Yankees fans are ranked third.
Oh, and you can knock Shea for lots of things - most things in fact - however the atmosphere at most games is phenomenal, and that’s something I hope doesn’t change at Citi.
