The guys over at Big League Stew are getting a big kick out of both big market NY teams having problems with their respective first basemen. The are conducting a “Who’s the worst first baseman in NY poll” and having a grand ol’ time mocking the situation…

Currently, the best point-and-laugh situation is the Big Apple, where both first basemen are redefining the term anchor. Despite the fact that they’re both in contract years, Jason Giambi and Carlos Delgado are both headed for a non-guaranteed contract with some has-been team come next spring. If they’re lucky.

C’mon Mets fans show me something. Go vote. I know a lot of Mets fans can’t stand Delgado right now but we can’t let him lose to a Juicer like Giambi.
