Indianapolis Colts Tight End Dallas Clark spoke with SNY’s Kevin Burkhardt during tonights Cubs-Mets game. He was wearing a David Wright jersey and told Burkhardt even though he’s from Iowa he grew up a Mets fan watching the 1986 team and was a fan of Dwight Gooden and Darryl Strawberry. Newsday’s David Lennon has more on Clark’s visit with the Mets at his Blog On the Mets beat.
Lennon adds that Willie Randolph, when asked about Carlos Delgado’s recent struggles and if he’d consider moving him down in the line-up said,
“I think it’s way too early for that to me.” “I’m not ready to make any rash moves with Carlos.”
Lennon also reports that injured C Ramon Castro caught five innings of an extended spring training game in Port St. Lucie, but Castro will not be returning any time soon.
