Here’s the buzz around the blogosphere today…
- Phillies fans at Bugs and Cranks are still whining about the play at the plate last night. Even if Reyes was out, these things tend to even out. You get a call we get a call, get over it. This AP image, however, seems to look like Reyes made it in ahead of the tag.

- David Lennon at Newsday discusses the venom of the fans early this season and also talks about Mets pitching prospect Jon Niese who is off to a fine start this season. Niese is 1-0 with a 0.82 ERA in two starts for St. Lucie, with 10 strikeouts and one walk in 11 innings. He’s allowed only three hits, including a home run, and opponents are batting .083 against him.
- Ted Berg of SNY interviews Nelson Figueroa, who happens to be a huge Mets fan, on Mets Blog.
- Howard Megdal does a nice profile on Figueroa, “the King of Quadruple-A” in the New York Observer as well.
- Fillip Bondy at the New York Daily News thinks the Phillies/Mets rivalry has surplanted the Braves/Mets rivalry.
- Tracy Coppola at Coppola Sisters is sick and tired of Carlos Beltran being ‘unclutch’
