That's pathetic.

91 wins and into October baseball for the Mets -- that would have the very same stench of pathetic.

91 wins?  I'm sure the excitement would be edge-of-the-seat in attempting to be the best team in October... but 91 wins should still leave a sour taste in any true Mets fans mouth... YES, even with a World Series win.
