According to Metsblog.com, the Mets have chosen two players during today’s Rule V draft. While in the Major Leauge Phase, Mets aquired RHP Stephen Register, 24, who was drafted by Colorado in 2004. With the Rockies Double-A team, he made 60 apperances, striking out 48 batters in 58 innings and finishing with a 4.03 ERA

During the Triple-A Phase, Mets picked RHP Garry Bakker,also 24, from the White Sox. Bakker had a 3.67 ERA in 31 appearances in High-A, striking out 64 and walking 45 in 83 innings.
