Matthew Cerrone is reporting on Mets Blog that theres discussion of a deal that would net them Erik Bedard by taking on Miguel Tejada’s contract.
Mike Silva reported on the Gotham Nation podcast this evening that he heard Sweeni Murti on WFAN say “There is news floating around that the Mets are close on Erik Bedard.”
I didn’t see that one coming. Keep an eye on Mets Blog to see how that one develops.
UPDATE 8:45PM EST : Cerrone reports now that he doesn’t believe the Tejada news anymore, but he does think that the Mets are working on Bedard.
