In a field of many worthy contenders, C.C. Sabathia was named the winner of the 2007 American League Cy Young Award.Sabathia went 19-7 with a 3.21 ERA and 209 strikeouts, pitching a major league-high 241 innings.

Sabathia received 19 of 28 first-place votes and finished with 119 points. Josh Beckett was second with eight first-place votes and 86 points, John Lackey got the other first-place vote and came in third. Fausto Carmona came in fourth.

If the Indians are unable to come to terms with Sabathia, who is in his final season with the team, they may listen to offers with his price now reaching its apex.
