David Lennon of Newsday writes that the Mets will open up the 2008 season on the road when they visit the Marlins on Mar. 31 at Dolphin Stadium
It’s the fourth time in five years the Mets will have kicked off the season on the road, with their only recent home opener coming in 2006. They started in Atlanta in 2004, Cincinnati in 2005 and St. Louis this season.

One Response for "Mets to Open 2008 on the Road, Again"
I wonder what this does for our chances of opening the season at home in 2009. Considering how many season openers we’ve had on the road, we should get it in 2009. But since the Yankees will open their new stadium too, something tells me they’ll get it over us.
